Print done from a wood cut made with a powergrinder. The rough medium fits the subject matter. It was later pointed out to me by Thomas Orr, that this figure would probably have been a new arrival at the Concentration Camps, because his face was still plump.

This was a fun print to make, despite it’s dark subject matter. I took the powergrinder and carved lines into a 20″x20″ block of wood. Then I took that block of wood and filled the creviced lines with black ink. Then I ran a super wet sheet of paper over the block of wood through the press.
