Zip Code requests at stores: 99701 Zip Code Campaign

Whenever a cashier asks for your zip code, it would be fun to give them a zip code for some barren unpopulated place in Alaska.

So now we start the 99701 Zip Code Campaign. Give every cashier the zipe code of “99701.” It’s the zip code for Coldfoot, Alaska. Population: 13. It would be fun if everyone started doing it. Remember: 99701.

That was a hilarious column. My boring answer is to give stores their own ZIP code, that is, if the Tribune Store asked for my ZIP code, I give them the ZIP code for their store.

i didn’t read the article yet. It’s a funny idea. However, there are certain stores I would love to see come closer to my home. Like I would love to see a Menards or Home Depot come to Elmhurst/Villa Park. I am excited to give my zip code to a store I would like to see come to my local zip code.

erik, there’s a home depot in northlake and one in lombard. and there’s a menards near 355/finley. but i recommened the northlake home depot, conveniently located near a walmart and an office depot. only a 10-minute drive down north avenue!
