Give Jabba sugar

I tried translating something to Huttese.

The only part that translated was “or die!”

It would probably be more helpful to simply look at the list of all the known Huttese words and phrases. There’s a couple of sites that list them. But in this case, I was being lazy, and went for a translator.

The end result is funny how the rhythm of “Jabba likes, Jabba eats, Jabba enjoys” all does not get translated. But the phrase at the very end “or die!” actually translates. In this case to “Mo Nee choo”. Not that you’d actually need to say that phrase at any point in your life.

If you are wondering why in the world I want to say “Jabba likes sugar” in Huttese. Someone on Bluesky posted this:

Yesssss, Axman!
Lived there from the mid 80s to early 90s myself, and surplus Jabba the Hut head graces my sugar bowl to this very day.

Jabba on a sugar bowl since the 1980s. That’s just a wonderful thing.
