A friend recently purchased a Macintosh and made a post on her blog about how Mac users are very passionate. Which yeah, Mac users are among the most passionate consumer groups out there. Ranking with Jeep owners, VW owners, and yes, toilet paper users.
When people like their toilet paper, it’s hard to tear them away from it. Me? I’m an avid user of the simple Scott tissue. What are you?

Cottonelle all the way, baby! once you feel that cushiony softness, you’ll never go back. I used to use that Scott-1000 stuff in college [i’d get it for 25 cents at Walgreens”>, but it’s so thin and scratchy. now i consider the Cottenelle one of my small luxuries. i am ultra-loyal toward this stuff.
Treat yourself right. Charmins Ultra. It’s worth it every time. -D
I am also a Scott tissue fan. I cannot suffer the lint from those cotton-soft brands.
scott tissue. that’s hard knox old school action. me? i like the pillowy softness of Cottonelle stuff. It’s like wiping your a55 with a cloud.
i don’t get why people like wiping their butts with clouds? It’s so extravagant.
it’s a cheap luxury. it’s not like i’m buying a yacht or something.
I’m a fan of Scott, too. My husband, on the other hand, must have the super thick, soft stuff. Personally I think it’s overkill. Anyway, that’s why we always have two rolls next to the toilet (though mine is on the dispenser, HA!)
at one time in my life, i was a diehard scott tissue user. I joked with Andrea before our marriage that I would have to add a second toilet paper dispenser in each bathroom. Well, that obviously never happened cuz now i’m a delightful convert of the pillowy tenderness of cloud paper. my tooshie says, “this is like being on a yacht.”
Now that you use this thicker sheet, do you still use the same number of sheets or less?
here, i’ll answer my own question. I found when i temporarily switched to a thicker flufflier sheet, that i was still using the same amount of sheets with each wipe. Which of course is wasteful, becuase you dont’ need as long of a strip with the thicker sheets. And then before you know it, the roll is gone!
