The LEGO Store at Westfield North Bridge
515 N State St, Chicago, IL
Ever wondered how those giant LEGO models are made? Here’s a chance to satisfy your curiosity! A LEGO Master Model Builder is coming to Westfield North Bridge and kids of all ages are invited to help him build a gigantic eight-foot-tall YodaTM—a favorite character from Star WarsTM- made entirely of LEGO bricks. This a great chance for kids to get a hands on experience with a LEGO Master Model Builder. All participating children will receive an official LEGO Building Certificate while supplies last.
Make sure to try your luck in the “Guess the Number of Bricks Contest.” The winner that guesses the closest to the amount of LEGO bricks used to build Yoda, wins a $50 LEGO Store gift card. The contest and Yoda display will take place through August 27, 2006. The LEGO Master Model Builder Event is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required.
My nephew, who I took to the Lego Store on his last visit, would be all over this!
p.s. Why is the address listed as State Street? The, as I still call it, Nordstrom Mall is on Michigan Ave … even the back entrance of the mall is Wabash … you have to go another whole block west to even get to State St …
Yoda? But Yoda isn’t 8 feet tall in real life. I guess that adds to the drama of the sculpture. The Lego Yoda will appear to be bigger than life.
Plus to achieve a level of detail, he probably needs to be eight feet tall. Here’s hoping that the inside will be filled with chocolate. An eight-foot-tall-chocolate-stuffed-yoda-with-a-lego-exterior. Yum!
i wanna see Lego Yoda in his kick-butt kung fu pose. An eight foot tall chocoloate stuffed Kung-Fu Lego Yoda rox!!!!
