The Chicago Olympic Committee is asking you to complete this sentence:
Chicago is _________.
Tell the world what Chicago means to you at www.chicago2016.org.
Here’s a few things I submitted to this form:
• Chicago is loving the Olympics
• Chicago is a melting pot of the world
• Chicago is working hard
• Chicago is optimistic
• Chicago is embracing the world
• Chicago is working hard and dreaming big
Feel free to use any of those or write your own. If you do submit something to their site, please also post it in the comments of this blog post. 🙂
UPDATE:
There is a limit of 30 characters for your answer on the chicago2016.org form.

I had typed out a bunch of sentences, but when I got to the site I saw a character limit, so all of my answers were one or two words Chicago is food, drink, sports, architecture, friendly, rock hot, museums, lake shore drive, working, playing, culture, the lakefront, king of the midwest, neighborhoods, olympic-worthy
yeah, i wonder what the exact character limit is… *goes to website* It’s 30 characters. I’m gonna update this blog post to let people know. I like the “olympic-worthy.” 🙂
Chicago is… corrupt. 🙂
I added some more, the most note-worthy is probably “candytown USA”
Did you see the Hulbert quote on that site? “I’d rather be a lampost in Chicago than a millionaire in any other city” That kind of love for Chicago brings tears to my eyes.
I’m having a great time over there. Not sure how many I’ve added, but the site is allowing me to express my love for Chicago.
Tom, it’s fun, isn’t it? I really hope they compile some sort of list with these. I’d love to read other people’s submissions.
You mean read other people’s submissions by who submitted them?
I don’t need to see who submitted them. I would just like to read what people wrote. It would also be interesting to see what the most frequently used words are.
Oh, yes!
