Leave bouncy balls in public areas for people to have fun. Really push the message across by attaching a note. Here’s some ideas what the note could say:
— Have some fun today —
— Carry this ball around with you all day —
— Give this ball to someone —
— I hope you have a bouncy day —
— This ball will unlock secret treasures if you bounce it 1,000 times —

Maybe the note could also include instructions on how to use the ball. — Bouncy ball tips —
* Throw inside elevator car.
* Bounce on sidewalk.
* Allow ball to roll on floor of bus or train. See if anyone picks it up.
* Try to bounce ball on escalator, allow it to crazily bounce away and see people try to get out of the way.
* Before a meeting, play finger soccer with ball on table.
or one of those giant beach balls. 🙂 that would be super fun. especially if you get a really big group of people together
What’s the best way to attach a note to a bouncy ball?
What’s the best way to attach a note to a bouncy ball?
I love this idea! I LOVE bouncy balls! There are a few in my loft that I can no longer find (I like to really throw them down and watch them fly all over the place). Once they’re gone though, they’re gone. I don’t spend any time hunting for them. Maybe, some day, if I renovate, some foreman is going to rip open a wall and find a treasure trove of bouncy balls. I hope I’m there when that happens! What a day it will be!
Tom – totally unrelated, but the “bouncy balls in the wall” thing reminded me of something I recently read. Old bathroom “medicine cabinets” used to just have a slo[i”>[/i”>t in the back marked “Used Razor Blades”. When you were done with a blade, you just push it through the slo[i”>[/i”>t, so your garbage-man/kids/animals don’t get cut by blades in the trash. This slo[i”>[/i”>t just went through a hole in the wall… slowly filling your bathroom wall with razor blades. I guess it’s not uncommon for demolition crews/remodelers to find tons of blades in the wall of old houses. I think we should all punch a hole in our bathroom walls and load them with bouncy balls, just to confuse future generations. Maybe even modify our medicine cabinets to have a hole that says “Used Bouncy Balls”.
too bad old houses didn’t have a sl-ot for gold coins.
Why would you put gold coins in a wall?
Tom, do you throw bouncy balls off your balcony? Or is that incriminating to admit here? I think I have a big box of bouncy balls from when I made this blog post in 2003, the bouncy ball on the train.
People would put gold coins in the wall so they could use the toilet.
