if you got a goodreads invite from me, you can ignore it. That was a total mistake on my part. I thought I was adding friends that were on goodreads already. I didn’t mean to send it out to my entire address book. I accidentally clicked on a link to send it to my whole address book. This is not goodreads.com’s fault, it’s mine.
I’m actually not even a huge fan of goodreads.com, I much prefer librarything.com. Here’s a comparison review of the two services.
But yeah… oops. I thought I was adding a couple people that were on the service. But then there was an alert that came up on goodreads saying, “message sent to 515 people.” WHAT!? I’m very sorry for this. At least it’s not leading to a spam site. Goodreads is legit.
If you do choose to join, I’d love to be your friend on goodreads.

I joined goodreads. I’m reading an art theory book from 1905. It’s an interesting perspective of the art world before Modern art entered the scene.
Yeah, the funny thing is that I went onto goodreads, because I started reading a couple new books and i wanted to see if goodreads or librarything has a section so I could display what I’m currently reading. Then I get sucked into the “check if any of my friends joined”–which I love that feature… and then oops. I’m currently reading: * Death Star (Star Wars), interesting behind-the-scenes of the Death Star being built before Star Wars Episode 3. * The Power of Small: Why Little Things Make All the Difference, this book was on the new nonfiction shelf at my library. At first I thought it would just be about obvious things. But it’s actually really insightful and inspiring. * 6 lessons xploring God’s Heart for the Nations, we are studying this in my small group now. The book is talked about on video at the 49-second mark. There are several other books I’m also in the middle, but these are the three I have in my bag right now. And that’s the real test–what’s in my bag.
Oh actually, now that I remember. I wanted to make a to-read list. Kinda like a netflix queue of what I want to read. That’s why I went over to goodreads and then got distracted. I still haven’t made my “want to read” list. Although in a way, it’s already made on my Amazon wish list.
