sparx– whoa! tom– llol I also realized this morning that McCain rhymes with pain. This whole ticket is full of pain! They should have played House of Pain at Republican convention
You’re probably right. I’m sure there is plenty of country music and musicians out there that would give them permission though … and if not, then they’d probably have to go the way of finding something in the public domain … like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
Public domain? psh.. not republicans! “TMZ.com is reporting that Ann and Nancy Wilson are upset that their 1977 rock hit “Barracuda” was used without their permission in the Xcel Energy Center at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul.”

As an update to Sparx’ previous post, despite the Wilson’s (and presumably Sony as well) lawsuit, the Repubs are STILL using their song! Here’s what I don’t get: That song is sooo not an “election-y” song: “If the real thing dont do the trick You better make up something quick You gonna burn burn burn burn it to the wick Ooooooh, barracuda” What about that screams “Vote for me”???
Accidentally? *winkwinknudgenudge* “sype” though? 😛 (captcha: gives69)
I don’t understand how Tina Fey’s mom got to be the VP nominee

I don’t think they would have gotten permission to use that song.. but that didn’t stop them before. :-/
