Chicago is becoming notorious for tearing down parking garages, putting buildings on top of old parking lots, and building new structures without on-site parking. i think lakeview could use some more parking garages. uh huh, shore nuff!
I got into my first accident ever in a parking garage when I was 17 years old. Someone in front of me started to back up, and without looking behind, I popped my car in reverse and slammed into a brand new Lexus that didn’t even have the tags off the leather seats. I thought the guy was going to KILL me, but he told me it was no problem and that he’d take it back to the dealership and tell them it must have come that way. So maybe its my subliminal fear of parking garages that is keeping more from being built.
