Phone numbers do not have periods

Please people! Do not put periods in your phone number. I know you are trying to be cool, but phone numbers have DASHES, not dots. It’s not an IP address. I know you want to look all cool, but it’s just wrong, wrong, and wrong. What if one day I decided to use slashes instead of periods for abbreviations? That would just be silly, wouldn’t it?

For the love of phone numbers, please give them the respect they deserve and use dashes. In fact, I was talking with a phone the other day and it told me that they all prefer the dash. I heard it come straight from the mouth of a phone!

Dashes? Why dashes? Who said dashes are the only thing you can use in a number. 🙂 I prefer periods myself, then next spaces, which is what the rest of the world tends to use. Ah, to go back to the day when a phone number was in the format of Lexington 5689! mp/m

I like the exclamation points, but I like this even better 773|784|9329 [i”>stylin'[/i”> btw, I abandoned the period a while ago. My personal business cards just have a space between the sets of numbers. I think I might re-do them with the | … what is that called anyway?

the pipe? How about the “^”? It’s the character when you hit “shift 6”. What is that thing used for and why does it have such a prominent position in the keyboard? I think phone numbers should use the conehead character. 1^800^588^2300 It kinda looks like a profile shot of a flip phone that’s half way open. call me^
