I say good for Sammy. It makes baseball more interesting. Coaches stealing signs, pitchers doctoring up balls, players corkin bats. Say, we need a good spitball pitcher in the majors now-a-days.

hmm, not sure what to make of this whole affair. whether or not he “knew,” he is human and makes mistakes. no one should expect anything more, or be disappointed in someone who is only as flawed as themselves.
I think it’s digusting the way the media and the Cubs are quick to jump all over him and hang him. I think the fans have the right idea and are giving Sammy the benefit of the doubt and showing him some support. The real fans are looking at what he has done for baseball throughout his career….Lest we forget, it was Sammy and Mark McGuire who brought fed up fans back to baseall.
