Are there any restaurants that serve Jell-O?

Jell-O is such a great dessert, but yet I cannot think of any restaurants that have Jell-O on their menu. Now bars have jello shots, but i’m thinking of the wonderful jello masterpieces that we’d have at family get-togethers. The multi-layered colorful jello. The mandarian orange suspended jello. The green lime jello with miracle whip.

Certainly there must be some restaurants that serve these delightful desserts.

Cool Whip. It comes in a can now – which is brilliant. Incredible on Reese’s. But no. I’ve never seen Jell-o on a restaurant menu. Just the lame cubes at salad bars and buffets.

If any place would have Jell-O it would be a classic diner. I know a few I’ve been too used to serve it cubed in pretty little cut glass dishes with whipped “topping”.

Matthew, Matthew, Matthew. You forget so easily. Marriott Commons at Illinois Wesleyan University (aka Saga) offers Jell-O every single day. I loved Saga.

Bars have Jell-O shots? I’ve only ever had them at parties where people make them themselves… What bars have Jell-O shots? I must go there immediately! haha… I’ve never seen it on a menu, either, Spudz. Just “Jell-O salad” with those weird marshmallows.

By me, we have a plethora of small Greek family style restaurants and the standard dessert fare is rice pudding or jello. It is usually included in the price of the meal.

I’ve seen it on a lot of buffets at all-you-can-eat restaurants or in (non-school) cafeterias.

My family was out to eat a couple of weeks ago and one of the dessert items was “Strawberries and Cream.” “What a delightfully simple yet delicious menu item,” we thought. So we ordered it to split four ways. Then it arrived and (we would have known this if we had actually read the menu description, apparently) it was actually strawberries and ice cream, all blended together and served in a glass. So, basically a strawberry milkshake with four spoons. Boo. The restaurants do not like the simple pleasures.
