#candypile hashtag on instagram

I regularly follow the #candypile hashtag on Instagram. Mostly to see people’s photos of Félix González-Torres’ candy pile installations at various museums.

The images for the #candypile hashtag change around this time of year—a couple weeks after Halloween—when people tag their Halloween candy piles.

Seeing these two different types of images mixed together is fun. One is seen in an austere, serious environment. The other is kids enjoying their stash on the floor at home.
