Doritos: No longer cool?

I nearly got ran over by a Doritos truck this morning while walking to work (well, kinda nearly). And it got me to thinking, whatever happened to Doritos? I remember them 15 years ago being much cooler. Is this just me?

I LIKE THE COOLER RANCH DORITOS BUT NOT AS MUCH AS FRITOS!

I think most people eat Doritos when they are younger. 15 years ago you were in high school. Maybe your tastes have changed, maybe you don’t eat as much junk food or are concious about what you choose to eat. Personally, I love Doritos. I don’t eat them all the time or anything, but I still eat them on occasion. I saw the Taco flavored at the store the other day. I almost picked up a bag because when I was in high school they were my favorite. By the way, I’m glad you weren’t run over! We don’t need “smashed spud”

That truck has an old bag design on it. o_O I’m gonna agree with Tom. 15 years ago I was just getting into kindergarten and Doritos were badass. Once I could actually eat them they were unbelievable. Now I am almost 19 and the effect has worn off and I couldn’t care less if I have any. Sour gummy candies, on the other hand…

Add Funyuns to the list. When I was in kindergarten I loved the Funyun. I can’t remember the last time I had one though.

Doritos. How my heart beats nostalgically for Doritos. The crisp crunch, that nacho bite, that reddish orange substance that would stay on your jeans through two washings. Cool Ranch Doritos have nothing on the orignal.

You should check out the new Spicy Buffalo-flavored Doritos. They’re to die for.

If you want spicy, try the Habenero. They’ll make your eyes water.

I bought a 13 ounce bag of Doritos “Cool Ranch” today at Walgreens. I saw the Spicy Buffalo-flavored Doritos and was tempted but passed for the classic taste of Cool Ranch. The flavor is actually a bit overwhelming and gum is not optional after eating a few. I much prefer the Andy Cap Hot Fries. They’re not super hot but have a nice flavor and are the product of choice from the vending machine here at work.
