Backside of hand in pain because of trackpad use?

hand pain from trackpad use

Does anyone get a weird numb feeling on the backside of your dominant hand? For the past couple weeks mine has this unusual feeling. Not so much numbness. Not really a pain. Just a feeling like something is inside my hand. When I rub the backside of my hand, I get this numb, slight pain.

I noticed that I feel that numbness more while using the trackpad on my laptop.

Thus, I’m trying to lessen my time on a trackpad. Instead, I’m using a mouse. Feels so old school. I haven’t regularly used a mouse since 2008.

Ten years of using a trackpad for eight hours a day. Maybe that’s not a good thing? Hopefully this mouse will help my hand feel a bit better.

Thankfully, the weird numb pain in my right hand has kinda went away. And I didn’t really use the mouse all that much.
