I feel like we are in the wrong year. Today is 10/10/09. Although it is rather comforting that we aren’t living THE perfect 10 day. We have some wiggle room for imperfection.
By the way, this is my 2,000th blog post. I was gonna take a photo of 2,000 pennies (much like when I photographed 1,500 pennies), but I’ll save the 2,000 penny photo for another post. I’m getting back into the rhythm of posting every weekday. Spudart.org is back!
:O) I have to get back into the rhythm of posting every weekday too! Thanks for the inspiration and happy 2,000th post!!
10.10.09 … so close! Congrats on 2,000! Have fun counting your pennies! 🙂
Thanks viva vera! I will have fun counting my pennies. In fact, maybe I will try to challenge the world record for most pennies held in one hand. I’m the current record holder–AFTER ALL THESE YEARS! Here’s a video of me setting the record. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-ZjWBAzu9o Funny that it has 35,000 views, and nobody has challenged my record.
Yeah Tom! Start posting again! C’mon. Maybe you need a random blog like me! 🙂 I’d love to hear random Tom thoughts. (even though you know how I feel about needing a focused blog like yours)
How funny … I’ve thought about turning my blog into a random thoughts blog. It’s not that I’ve run out of food ideas or stories, but I’ve been rethinking my initial parameters when I first started, one of them being that I wanted to remain (for all intents and purposes) anonymous. One way to do that would be to write strictly about food, even if there were stories about my life in food, I could still remain basically anonymous. Now I’m not so sure. One of the reasons I don’t want to be on Food Network (aside from the fact that I don’t respect Food Network) is the fact that everyone on that network is basically required to open up their lives without reservation wholly and completely. “Our viewers can never know too much about you” I’ve heard it said on “Next Food Network Star” ad nauseum. That alone prevented me from doing more than downloading an application. But I do think I can bring more to my blog about other things in my life. I also want to do more photos (original photos [hopefully”>). Maybe you saw my query on Y! Answers about making a light box. The whole point of that was so that I could start taking GREAT pictures of my food without dragging my white drawing table to a (hopefully) well-lit window (especially tricky after the sun sets). Lastly, I have been thinking about moving off Xanga. Most of the blogs I read are on blogspot and blogspot allows ads (another first for me: considering ads!) Hey, it’s 10/10/09, right? An almost perfect day. What better time to totally rethink my blog! As long as I have decided I’m going to keep it, I think some changes are in order.
