What would a flag pole look like with 50 flags all at the same height?
Outside my window fly 50 state flags in a plaza. I love looking at these flags.
On a very windy day, I’m thinking about making a video of each state flag. For each flag stand I would stand directly underneath the flag, and put my camera against the pole, and record straight up.
Then take all 50 videos and combine them together. Each flag will be rotated 7.2 degrees, so it would look like you have fifty flags all emanating from the same flag pole.
I believe this idea is from the all the thinking I’ve been doing about kaleidoscope photography. The notion of things repeated over and over in one image, like a kaleidoscope.
If I had a movie budget, I’d attach a camera to each of the 50 poles, and record them all at once!
