Your SCSI Terminator is actually pretty cool. It involves a bit of history and actually has some interest to it. Mine is just some ballplayer’s long name. Nothing of interest here. Now what I should have done is to find out the meaning of his name. I’m assuming his name is Italian. Saltalamacchia as one word means nothing. But break it down into three words, Salt ala macchia, and it means, Salt wing stains. Now that is blogworthy!
I’m gonna send Jarrod an email to let him know what his last name means. You can write Jarrod at: Jarrod Saltalamacchia The Atlanta Braves P.O. Box 4064 Atlanta, GA 30302
I didn’t know what an archipelago was, so I looked it up: Archipelago: A group of islands close together in an ocean or sea. The Philippine Islands are an archipelago in the Pacific Ocean. Wow, that’s really cool.

Hi Jarrod! I’m Angela from Italy. The real meaning of your surname is: Salta (jump) la (the) macchia (stain). It’s uncommon surname in Italy, may be from Sicily. Bye 😉

Saltalamacchia does NOT mean Salt Wing Stains…. that is so wrong. It means Jump the stain (mark) or Jump over the thicket
one of his ancestors must have lost a bet at some point.
I like it when you and I are desperate for blog posts. Which blog post is worse, your “Jarrod Saltalamacchia” post or my “SCSI Terminator” post?

Here, let me alter this blog post to include that factoid.
