The creative director at work used to work at a magazine. So when she got married last year, we made her a fake National Enquirer magazine cover with custom headlines. Now she will be having a baby in February, so I illustrated and designed this magazine cover with Maureen’s excellent copywriting.
Alot of the illustration is heavily influenced by Oopsy Daisy.
This is awesome! And the copy is hilarious. I’m sure your creative director will love it!
very nice. though the guy looks alot like michael dukakis (i think i’m dating myself with that statement.) i like the dog. the bike illusration is nice too.
This is HILARIOUS! Very well done! I like the bike and the dog, but nobody does candy like Matt-tastic!
You are FIRED
Oh, my, you’re right about the Dukakis thing. Ahh, the memories . . .
great job, matt! this is my first official post. how exciting. so creative…i like it lotz and lotz
Thanks! graphic-dork-o-rama! yer the one who told me about oopsy daisy in the first place. Yah! oopsy daisy rawks!
That big headed baby makes me giggle like the dickens! And wook at his wittle curly-cue hair-do!
why is the baby wearing a university of kansas shirt?
The university of kansas shirt is because my creative director attended that university. And for the cute baby head, it’s really a simple formula. Just stick the face (eyes, nose, mouth) at the very bottom of an oval. And the little hair has the position so the head looks even more 3D.
