Repeating letters for emphasis

Do you ever type extra letters in a word for emphasis? Like, instead of typing “sweet!” you might type “sweeeeet!”

You could short-hand that and put in a multiplication symbol:

swee×99t

That’s “Sweet” with 99 sets of “ee”. Maybe more accurately it should be:

sw(ee×99)t

I put that observation into a Bluesky post. My brother responded with:

N(i×99)ce(!x99)

Ninety-nine exclamation points! I want to see what that looks like. Although I don’t really want to type it ninety-nine times. I built an online tool that will repeat any string of text. Introducing the Repeat Text Generator.

Here’s an example of an exclamation point repeated 99 times.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It actually doesn’t look like much. Or should I say, it actually doesn’t look like much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have fun with the repeater tool. Feel free to paste your results in the comments.
