Watching potatoes grow

New feature on spudart.org! On left hand side of the homepage at www.spudart.org is the growth progress of a sweet potato in my dining room. About every day or so I’ll take a photo of it and post it on the site. The entire progress of the potato plant will be archived at: https://www.spudart.org/blogs/potato.

The sweet potato actually makes a very nice house plant. The vines have a nicely-shaped leaf. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t know if the water in your glass should come up that far on the potato. Last time I sprouted a sweet potato I kept about half an inch of the spud’s bottom in the water. The spud will root … not rot *wink*
