I was just wondering if monkeys drink water. I never saw a monkey drink water. Maybe monkeys don’t drink water. But then a friend happily shared this video with me, Youtube – Monkey Drinking and Playing with Water.
I want to drink water like this monkey.
Note: this video is more fun to watch with the sound turned off.

Who wants to do to a Youtube video response of yourself drinking water like this monkey? I do!
somebody get that monkey a cup. Please.
A few comments from facebook: MoLe: as a monkey myself, i have to say i much prefer using a cup, glass or mug to drink my water. occasionally, if i’m out on a walk, a sports bottle is my beverage container of choice. but over all, i don’t drink water with my hands like the featured monkey. yes, it is fun on a hot day, but it’s messy and had such potential for spreading germs during cold and flu season. plus its not a very practical way to drink hot tea or a nice iced beverage. but then, that’s my opinion. spudart: OH WOWOWOWOWOW! The infamous hi monkey left a comment on one of my notes! I am so honored! I feel like i’m meeting a celebrity. Dearest hi monkey, You have such wonderful manners drinking your water out of a cup, glass, mug, or sports bottle. Do you think the monkey in the video drinks his hot tea with this hand method? I bet that monkey drinks it from a cup too, but he’ll raise it high above his head and pour it into his mouth. But sometimes he’ll miss his mouth and pour it on his face. And the tea would be hot, and this monkey would be all like, “oh! that’s hot! i’m burning my face!” I’m glad you don’t pour hot tea all over your face. Thank you hi monkey for your note, and I hope you have a wonderful day! MoLe: hey, matt, we’re all primates here, call me monkey. i bet you’re right that the monkey in the video might have problems with the proper use of a tea cup. i don’t blame him, it’s the steady decline in etiquette classes that have caused this predicament for him. have a glorious evening!
