A workspace where designers, writers, freelancers and entrepreneurs can consistently meet and get work done together. Working alone can get a bit lonely. I know. Tribune Company gave me a sabbatical for four months in 2006 where I worked by myself learning a CMS program, Drupal. I thought I’d love to be able to work from home. But then I found out that I greatly desired working with other people. A search for shared office spaces in Chicago came up blank.
The San Francisco Chronicle article “Shared work spaces a wave of the future” re-peaked my interest in shared office spaces.

I can barely imagine you working home … alone. That’s depressing on so many levels for so many reasons. I’ve been entertaining the idea of finding a professional kitchen space to maybe perhaps to accept some culinary jobs, but I need to start at square one and get my sanitation license first.
“work at jelly” that sounds like fun. You just need to find a lady and get married, matt. I would love to have a 4 month sabbatical. A couple years ago, I took a full week off of work and got a ton of baseball drawings done. I do remember craving social interaction more during that period which was fulfilled when my wife would come home from work.
