The empty coat closet at work,
no jackets inside do lurk.
All is quiet and still,
Nothing moving notta nill.
I hang my coat off to the side,
setting over any jacket pride.
Don’t want it to get in the way,
gotta give jackets room to play.
I slide all the other hangers back,
they cling, they clang, they clack.
Awakening and makening sounds of chimes,
getting up from their snoozy bedtime.
Joyfully they sang and clang,
waiting for jackets on them to hang.

I like poetry stuff!!!! THE EVERLASTING BATTLE Many days I wish I were blind. To elude the darkness that shades my heart and ensnares my mind. Without sight I would see no evil. I would see no father’s daughter scantily dressed. I would see no wealth, no power, no corruption. No longer gazing upon the things I half heartedly wish to detest. How misleading are the things I see. The things that make me think only of me. It is my vision that makes me blind. I wrap my arms around the worldly sights that wine and dine. But, there is a hope I often distrust. A magnificent truth I cover with an illusive dust. It is found in the smile of a child. It is found in the love of a wife. It is found on a wedding day. It is found in those who kneel and pray. It is the heart of God
spud, are you hiding in the coat closet today?
