The website for the book “Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life,” an Amazon Top 10 book in 2005.
This site was designed using PHP and MySQL, so the author could easily make updates to the site without knowing html. Readers can submit their own “purple flower moment” and “moon descriptions” with the author being able to prescreen the submissions and then automatically update the site upon her approval.
All sections of these site (excerpts, reviews, buy the book, about the author, theme song, fracas, book groups, readings, pals and behind the scenes) are programmed so the author can go to an online form and edit.

Here is an example of how the author can easily update the site through online forms. This is a pdf tutorial of how the site gets updated.
Just bought this book, nearly half way done and can’t stop thinking about it, talking about it and wishing I could curl up and finish it. (yet I want it to go on forever…) What a treasure and ordinary day is…let alone an ordinary life.
