What is your first photo posted to flickr? Here’s all the first flickr photos of my flickr contacts:
And my first photo on flickr:
I like that it’s a set of stairs that I climb every day. To think those stairs have not been painted for five years. I should do a series on this set of stairs outside the Tribune Tower at Michigan Avenue and Illinois Avenue.
I think it might be a fun series to leave a comment on each of these photos. I could line it up and do one photo every day. That would be 101 consecutive days. Or maybe I could do it on their flickrversary. Hmmm, i kinda like the idea of setting up a separate blog dedicated to commenting on a person’s first flickr photo. I would go through these 101 people. Then I’d move onto the people that have me as a contact, but I don’t have them as a contact. Then maybe onto other people who have fav’ed my photos on flickr. It could be an ongoing one comment a day thing. Maybe people could even sign up to have me comment on their first flickr photo. I’d have to think of a way writing the comments where they are insightful. Not just “hey, your first flickr photo.” but something that gives analysis or something interesting. Something that other people would want to read. Not just the author of the photo, but a blog that would be fun for others to follow.
Actually… that’s not my first. I used tools from h4ppy.com to rearrange my photostream (http://www.h4ppy.com/h4ppier-photos-widget.php). I posted to Gallery on my personal website before Flickr. http://img.aguto.com/main.php I have no idea what my first pic was. :/
That looks like it took a ton of work, nice job. I think the blog idea sounds like a lot of fun, although this just makes me wish I had a more interesting photo for my first flickr upload!
OMG, Spuddie, I was WONDERING why you fav’d that picture of my sister’s feet — thought you were one of … those … flickr people! Wow, those photos from 2003. Such a weird year, and one of the only ever that I was in Boston during the summertime. Thanks for making me think of those firsts!
look at all those humans.
Yeah, the humans do stand out, don’t they.
There’s a group on flickr where people post their first photo uploaded to flickr: http://www.flickr.com/groups/firstflickrphoto/
