After many, many, many, many, many posts on anti-pigeons, maybe they aren’t all that bad. They are tough survivers and add a non-human element to urban areas. They do have nice different colors. And they do walk in a funky way with their heads bobbin. So here’s a poem:
Oh pigeons with your funny stride
A positive view you were denied.
Stirring and skipping along curbside,
Do you truly have a good heart inside?
Children cheerfully feed you.
Quietly echoing sounds coo coo
Overhead you joyfully flew
But please don’t release stinky poo poo
here’s a haiku about my disdain for the pigeon Pigeon on the street Flutter flutter near my feet Get away from me!
“Stirring and skipping along curbside, Do you truly have a good heart inside?” Wow. This is heavy stuff. The verdict may be out on pigeons, but it’s in on Matt Maldre: A POETIC GENIUS. Thanks for the inspiration. -D
😛 what do pigeons think? that humans really stink?
Pigeons think train conducters stink because trains are continuously running into them, knocking them off the tracks down to the street below … Be mindful, Mr. Pigeon! Watch out for that truck! *g!a!s!p!*
Are you Bert from Sesame Street or what? I heard them called “rats with wings” lovely poem though!
Rats with wings making me sing
If pigeons were your religion…. ??
i think Bert from Sesame Street was/is a member of the Pigeon Religion.
